Delayed Opening & Early Dismissal
Family Notification
Families will be notified via School Messenger in the event of a change to the school schedule. This will be the primary means of communication regarding any change to the school schedule.

Web Posting
A banner will appear across the district's website in the event of a delayed opening or early dismissal. If needed, additional details will be posted here that are beyond the message scope of School Messenger. In the event of a wide-spread emergency encompassing a large service area for School Messenger, it is possible that voice and data messages could be delayed in the company's queue. Routinely checking the website is a good practice as a backup during known emergencies.
Social Media
Depending on the nature of the schedule change, the district may also post to Facebook and Instagram.
Elementary Schools
District Closure
All classes for all schools are cancelled for the day. All before-school, after-school and evening activities and programs are cancelled.
Community School Delayed Openings, Early Closings, and School Closures
Early Dismissal related to After Care: If the school closes early due to inclement weather or for any other reason, after care will be closed. During hybrid schedule and on half days (early dismissal), after care will be closed.
Related to Preschool: Delayed Openings, Early Closings, and School Closures
Preschool will have a delayed opening, early closing, or school closure due to weather or emergency when Glen Rock Public Schools does. Announcements related to these situations will come via a Honeywell call. The Preschool Director will send an email.
